Medical doctor specializing in public health, Dr. Mamadou Ndiaye is recognized for his expertise in the area of prevention in general and vaccination particularly.
Following training in public health, he served as district Medical Officer in different areas of Senegal from 1992 to 2005.
From 2005 to 2012, he was promoted to Head of the Immunization Division at the Ministry of Health of Senegal and Coordinator of the Expanded Program for Immunization.
Dr NDIAYE was also an international consultant for WHO in Niger and Burkina Faso from 2000 to 2002, in the framework of strengthening immunization, poliomyelitis eradication and measles elimination.
Since 2012, he has been the Director of Prevention at the Ministry of Health and Social Action and parallel with his professional activities, he is GAVI focal point for strengthening of the health system.
